


Proper aftercare is key to a healthy heal and a tattoo that looks amazing for years to come.
Follow these steps and your ink will thank you.







GENTLE WASH
Wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and antibacterial, unscented soap. Gold Dial is a good example. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

KEEP IT CLEAN
Clean 2-3 times a day for the first 1-2 weeks.
Wash your hands before cleaning your tattoo.

THIN LAYER
Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment. Aquaphor is a good example.
Less is more!

LOOSE CLOTHING
Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid friction and irritation.

AVOID
Avoid sunlight, tanning beds, pools, hot tubs, and soaking for 2-3 weeks.

BE PATIENT
Itching and flaking are normal.
Don't pick or scratch!

Days 1-3
Tattoo may feel tender. Redness and swelling are normal.
Days 4-7
Itching and flaking may begin. Your tattoo may look dull.
Weeks 2-4
Flaking will stop. Your tattoo will start to look fresh again.
After 4 weeks
Continue moisturizing as needed. Protect your ink always!

Let it heal naturally.
DON'T OVER-MOISTURIZE
Too much can clog pores and slow healing.
DON'T USE SCENTED PRODUCTS
Keep it simple and gentle.
DON'T EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUN
UV rays can fade your tattoo.
